Daniel Duran, Ph.D.
Founder, Principal
Dan Duran is the founder of Energized Solutions and is a Principal of the firm. He also serves as an Associate Professor in the Business Administration Department of Whittier College (Whittier, California) and teaches courses in Renewable Resource Planning, Energy Studies, MIS, Operations, and International Business. Dan has authored many papers and reports.
John Westerman
Principal
Mr. Westerman is a Principle of Energized Solutions responsible for business development and operations of the energy consulting practice. He has more than 20 years experience in the development, evaluation, application, and testing of energy technologies. He has supported energy-related activities for the California Energy Commission, the Electric Power Research Institute, the Gas Research Institute, the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (a division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), U.S. Department of Energy, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and numerous utility companies. During 2005 and 2006, Mr. Westerman was the Chairman of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Energy Committee. Mr. Westerman has authored numerous papers and reports.
Mr. Westerman holds an MBA from the University of San Diego and a BS in Physics from the University of California, San Diego.
John and his family volunteer each year for the Kick for a Cure Charity Soccer event to raise money for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The Westerman family developed and operates the Click for a Cure photo booth.
Troy Roble
Associate
Mr. Roble is an Associate at Energized Solutions in San Diego, California. He is responsible for supporting energy efficiency projects as well as utility energy efficiency program evaluation projects that are currently underway at Energized Solutions. His primary areas of expertise are managing projects using Microsoft Project, analyzing and summarizing facility energy bills, conducting energy audits and project reporting, and evaluating the processes in place for the utility’s energy efficiency programs. His experience includes energy efficiency program processes, building energy conservation and energy end-use studies, technology assessment, and utility energy efficiency program impact evaluation.
Prior to working with Energized Solutions, Mr. Roble ran a small retail business for 9 years. His expertise included sales & marketing, customer relationship management, operations management & online web development.
Mr. Roble holds an MBA from the University of California, San Diego and a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.
