Energized Solutions works with utilities, government agencies, and corporations to develop strategies and applications to help meet and evaluate progress in achieving mandated or desired Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) goals. RPS legislation and sustainable energy strategies are driving for-profit and not-for-profit firms and agencies to increase production and use of renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, biomass, and geothermal energies. Concurrently, the evolution and growth of RPS goals and mechanisms provides opportunities for firms and agencies to increase their planning and application of advanced conservation measures.

We want to partner with socially responsible and competitive utilities, companies, and agencies to develop RPS strategies that include both energy and water resources. While there is no current national RPS policy in place we believe that RPS strategies, including the California's RPS goals established in 2003 and accelerated in 2006, benefit all stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, large commercial and industrial end users, and residential users.

Since its inception, ES has focused on providing high level energy consulting expertise to the public and private arena. For example, ES conducted a multinational energy efficiency audit for Avery Dennison and developed a set of data gathering tools to evaluate energy efficiency opportunities at Avery Dennison’s 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Tijuana, Baja California.

ES has worked with several utilities, including Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas & Electric, San Diego Gas and Electric and Southern California Gas as one of their preferred partners and has conducted technical energy evaluations and Quality Assurance reviews of their energy efficiency programs. We also have experience with large commercial and corporate clients and recently served as  Disney's primary consultant for the Operations and Maintenance aspects of a major new state of the art Central Energy Plant project where we developed a comprehensive modeling and energy efficiency plan with an associated set of operational Best Practices.

Water is precious and water use and conservation strategies are increasingly needed to conserve this resource and sustain our way of life while protecting our environment. Energized Solutions provides expert assistance to water and wastewater utility management and users of water resources by focusing on the management, operational, regulatory, and policy issues that impact the water industry and all of its diverse stakeholders. Our goal is to help develop, implement, and monitor water conservation strategies and applications for municipalities, investor-owned utilities, water districts, non-profit customer-owned systems, and government agencies.

For example, we are currently working with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California to deliver educational and training programs to residents and commercial firms. These programs promote the use of native and more drought resistant plants and the design and implementation of drip irrigation and other water conserving systems.

The primary goal of the Quality Assurance practice of Energized Solutions is to ensure that your environmental policies, technologies, and practices are of sufficient quantity and quality to achieve their stated goals. Energized Solutions will first assess the relative performance and results of your programs in relation to current program policies and practices and then help you enhance their operations and performance achievements to the next level via cooperative development of a Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).

The QA procedures and practices Energized Solutions uses are based on known QA models specific to energy, water, and other environmental resources. Energized Solutions will develop specific procedures designed for your agency or firm to conduct reviews of QA policies and practices and also conduct field inspections and assessments of equipment and services, including:

• Conduct of on-site inspections of residential and commercial energy and water systems and equipment
• Checking vendor and contractor installations and program compliance
• Verification of contractor documentation of equipment size and efficiency goal attainment
• Completing and recording inspections on time
• Coordination with the customer to schedule all inspections
• Recording and making available ready access of all inspection findings and discrepancies
• Reporting of deceptive, unethical or other non-standard business practices/behaviors of stakeholders
• Develop and deliver data analyses, presentations, and reports

Our detailed estimates consider total direct and indirect human capital costs as well as equipment and other associated requirements. Our goal is to provide the Client with a work schedule that provides a project planning and control tool that supports all of the planning and cost tracking needs, including references for all the necessary procedures required to complete the work.
